In the year that commemorates 40 years career, pianist, composer and arranger Guilherme Vergueiro launches "Novos Horizontes (New Horizons)", recorded live at the Auditorium Ibirapuera, Sao Paulo, showcasing their new compositions and his new group as well as pay tribute to the great master Johnny Alf. Participants in his new group are: Sizão Machado - bass, Alex Buck - drums, Laudir de Oliveira - percussion Josué dos Santos - tenor sax and Sidmar Vieira - trumpet. The CD also features special participation of Caito Marcondes - percussion and Zé Luiz Mazziotti - vocals, plus the guest soloists Teco Cardoso - baritone sax, Raul de Souza - trombone and Marcelo Munari - guitar.
