A cantora Juliana Cortes apresenta em seus dois trabalhos uma mistura cativante de jazz, world music e música contemporânea. O trabalho se inspira nas regiões frias do sul do Brasil, fronteira com Uruguai, Paraguai e Argentina. O CD INVENTO (2013) foi selecionado ao Prêmio da Música Brasileira, o mais importante do país e conta com a participação especial de Vitor Ramil, reconhecido internacionalmente como um dos grandes compositores da nova história da música brasileira. O recém-lançado CD GRIS (2016) foi gravado entre São Paulo, Buenos Aires e Curitiba e foi produzido por Dante Ozzetti. GRIS

Singer Juliana Cortes exhibits a captivating mix of jazz, world music and contemporary music in her two CDs. Her work is inspired by the cold regions of southern Brazil, where the country boarders Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina. The CD INVENTO (2013) has been selected for the Brazilian Music Award, voted the 32nd Best Brazilian Music Album (2013 edition) and placed Juliana Cortes in the ranking of the 20 best singers of the year. Her most recent release, GRIS (2016), was recorded in São Paulo, Buenos Aires and Curitiba and includes ten original songs by contemporary authors, mixing elaborate arrangements with free improvisation. The CD features guest appearance by Paulinho Moska (vocals), Arrigo Barnabé (vocals), Antonio Loureiro (vibraphones), Diego Schissi (piano), Santiago Segret (bandoneon) and Juan Pablo Navarro (bass).

Juliana Cortes´s quartet is Rodrigo Marques (double bass), Du Gomide (guitar) and Marco Lobo (percussion).
