Tiganá Santana is a singer, composer, songwriter, instrumentalist, producer and researcher from Salvador, Brazil. He writes and sings in Kikongo, Kimbundu (languages spoken mainly in Angola and Kongo Central), Portuguese, English, Spanish and French, having been the first Brazilian composer to record songs in African languages as a songwriter. He has released four albums and has conceived the drum-guitar, an instrument which distinguishes his aesthetic invention as an instrumentalist.
